After an uneventful flight from Heathrow airport to Johannesburg airport and following a much needed sleep there, we were so looking forward to “our” virgin flight to St Helena Island. My brother who had visited earlier this year had told us he hoped we would get a great picture. And yes, when we left Johannesburg for refueling in Windhoek, Namibia the skies were beautifully blue, so we did get a number of awesome pictures of the island from above.

Today is Sunday here, and while the church bell next door at St John’s church is constantly, I mean constantly ringing, we are looking forward to Sunday lunch with family; but not before I take a climb up Jacobs Ladder (699 steps). And as always, we cannot thank God for his never-ending love, care and protection.
